🔴 Do you have a daughter ? If yes it’s important to do these for her as she grows

☄️ Get her vaccinated against HPV virus if possible, before she begins having s£x. This is to prevent cervical cancer. Vaccinations are usually given between 11 to 14 years , but can be given any time after that too. Vaccination is however a choice you can decide not to make.

☄️ Get her to see a gynecologist once she starts her menses and as soon as she begins living an intimate life

☄️ Get her a gynecology appointment every year from the age of 15.

☄️ Get her an appointment to talk to a gynecologist if she needs help clearing doubts or wants certain sensitive questions answered. This way, she gets to make informed decisions as she grows.

☄️ Get her an appointment if she has problems with her cycle, infections or wants or needs to be placed on birth control. If she needs to see a gynecologist at any point in time, it’s beneficial to find her one too.

☄️ Gynecologist that are specialised in caring for children are called paediatric gynecologist. Your daughter should feel comfortable with the one you choose for her or she can help you choose too.

Ps : and while at this, don’t forget that you also need to get checked yourself every year . If you have fibroids, you can check on them every 6 months via scan to see how they’re growing or not growing.
